Tom and I went to our first sonogram appointment. I felt nervous yet excited at the same time. When I climbed on to the chair with a full bladder (yikes!), it felt surreal, and I couldn't help but think... OMG, this is really happening! It was really cool to be able to see the baby MOVING. Tom was quiet for most of the appointment, but he looked at the screen with amazement (at least that's what his expression looked like from my perspective). I have to say, it was a little creepy to see the baby moving around inside me, especially since I can't feel a thing! The baby is already showing signs of being part my child and Tom's... it was active and stubborn, it wouldn't get into the right position for the genetic screening. I tried emptying my bladder, walking around the room (I even tried jumping jacks) and the doctor tried pushing near its head with the wand so it would slouch down into a laying position... no luck!! My due date was confirmed for Dec 2nd, so I'm officially 12 weeks. The baby is just over two inches, and its heartbeat was 154 bpm... healthy as a horse! ;)
